Day 3- so much for passing through...

Well, its day 3 of our trip and so far we have been pretty bad at blogging what we have done. So i thought we would do a quick catch up of the past few days....

on friday we arrived in Paris around 10:30ish and went in search of our first hostel, but first i had to learn the hard way that the rules of the road in europe... Exiting the station, I glanced to the right - not a car for a good 50 feet - and stepped into the road. A blast of car horns and a scramble for the far pavement, and I remembered the whole "driving on the right" thing they do over here, those crazy Europeans!

Once settled into our first hostel, which was 'cosy' to say the least, we decided to go in search of our first beer on french soil, which as we discovered was bloody exspensive, but the live band and good location i suppose made up for it a little bit..

Saturday, we decided to wake up early and enjoy the heart of paris, maybe sit outside a cafe eating a croissant and drinking a latte, but no instead it decided to pour it down. Which, as it turns out, makes it awfully difficult to enjoy a city. A trip on the Metro (including an attempt to loose will by jumping on the train just as the doors closed failed - he caught the next one) and a hunt for Gare d'Austerliz's evaise lockers wore did nothing to lighten the sky, so we bottled in a bought umbrellas. A stroll across town, stopping at several cafes en route, was actually pretty enjoyable, and the rain stopped shortly before we reached the Eiffel Tower. Being greeted with a short queue gave us only one option - to the top!

im bored of writing now, so i will continue later

Houli out.
